A jury of seven is expected to be sent out today (31 Jan) in the trial of an Island maths teacher accused of rape.
Fifty-eight year-old Davoud Taghinejad is charged with one count of rape and 10 of indecent assault between 2011 and 2013.
The allegations have been brought by five teenage girls who, at the time of the alleged incidents, were aged between 13 and 17.
Mr Taghinejad from Douglas, moved to the Isle of Man in September 2009 and denies all charges against him.
In his summing up of the case yesterday, Deemster Alastair Montgomerie said the evidence case had been "harrowing" for everyone concerned.
In giving evidence, some by a live video-link-up, three of the girls claimed that Taghinejad would introduce "games" into their maths lessons.
These games allegedly involved the youngsters holding their breath while Mr Taghinejad felt for their heart beat, an action, which claimed the prosecution, culminated in the teacher touching the breasts of three girls.
The defence has described all the stories as "fabricated lies".
The jury of three men and four women will retire to consider verdicts this morning.
