Tributes to the 139 fallen
Final preparations are being made around the Island to mark the 100th anniversary of the Armistice in 1918 that signaled the end of World War One.
Stones and boots are being used to remember the many students and staff of King William's College who were killed during the Great War.
Teacher David Dawson has been telling Manx Radio how colleague Alison Schreiber has organised ways to honour those lost:-
139 students and staff lost their lives during the Great War.
As a tribute, 139 stones, each bearing a photograph, a painted poppy and name will be laid at the foot of the college war memorial during a remembrance service on Friday.
139 pairs of boots have been placed around the school to represent each life lost.
KWC will be holding a Remembrance Requiem with poetry, letters and music by candlelight on Sunday at 5.30pm - all are welcome to attend.
