Christian campaigner opposes same-sex weddings
A Christian campaigner opposed to gay marriage says he will fight to prevent a bill allowing same-sex unions to the very end.
Lay preacher and former law lecturer Peter Murcott has opposed the Marriage and Civil Partnership Bill throughout its passage through the Manx parliament.
He's now set his sights on stopping the bill being given Royal Assent - its final seal of approval before becoming law.
Mr Murcott says the Monarch has a duty to uphold the law of God under the Coronation Oath Act - and he argues, endorsing the bill contravenes the centuries-old law.
He says it's a fundamental issue:
