Island residents have been highlighting the plight of some of the world's poorest citizens this week by taking on the challenge of feeding themselves for just £1 per day.
For the third year, the Island's One World Centre has organised a Live Below the Line campaign - raising money for aid projects to help the 1.2 billion people who to bed hungry every night.
Bowls of broth and gruel have been on most participants' menus with organisers offering tips on how to make the most of a reduced food budget.
