Scheinberg family commits to doubling funds raised
A pledge has been made to double every penny raised in fighting for the future of the Island's Family Library.
The Scheinberg family has made the commitment for the next three years, and will match any funds raised up to a total of £125,000.
Librarian-in-charge Mary Cousins says it's a major boost but stresses charity efforts must continue, with £70,000 needed by July 31 to secure the service.
The charity runs a schools scheme, a mobile and a family library, taking books to people all around the Island.
Mrs Cousins says the match-fund promise is a big incentive to achieve their target:
