Preceptorship programme shortlisted
Manx Care has been nominated for a healthcare award
The organisation has been shortlisted for a Nursing Times Workforce Award in the 'Preceptorship of the Year - Under 1,500 staff' category for its Preceptorship programme.
The programme was created to support newly-qualified registered nurses and midwives on Island in their first year of work.
It includes all Manx Care's newly-qualified nurses and midwives both in hospital environments and the community.
The programme has been developed by Manx Care's Senior Practice Development Nurse, David Neilan, and his colleagues Kelly Gold and Nicola Howard.
Mr Neilan says they feel 'honoured' to be shortlisted for the accolade.
The Nursing Times Workforce Award ceremony will take place on the 17 November.
