90-year-old received King's shilling during national service in 1951
A Manx resident who served in the armed forces says he had hoped to receive a telegram from Queen Elizabeth II.
90-year-old Eric Quirk received the King's shilling when he began his national service in 1951, just a year before the death of King George VI.
He's been reflecting on his memories of the late Queen, following her death last week.
Mr Quirk says he's now looking forward to a telegram from King Charles III:
