Christian's question referred to President of Tynwald
A Douglas South MHK who had a Tynwald question blocked due to ‘sub judice’ says the matter has now been referred to the president.
Claire Christian wanted to ask the Chief Minister whether he was involved in the decision to lodge an appeal as part of an employment tribunal looking at the dismissal of Dr Rosalind Ranson.
She wanted to know to what extent Alfred Cannan was involved, in October last year, which the Department of Health and Social Care subsequently lost.
Ms Christian says the matter has now been referred to Laurence Skelly along with her reasons why the question should not be refused and she is awaiting his decision:
My question has now been referred to the President of Tynwald along with my reasons why it is not subject to sub judice and should not be refused.
