Two more inspectors being appointed
With benefit fraud seemingly at record levels in the Isle of Man, Treasury says it is doing more to try and stop it.
Two more inspectors are being appointed.
In 2015/16 more than £700,000 was fraudulently claimed, while an estimated £400,000 in further overpayments was avoided, thanks to intervention by the benefit inspectorate.
The figures are the highest since records began.
Over the same financial year, 14 people were prosecuted, with eight of them being sent to prison.
