John McDonough announces election plans
Ramsey could have another name on its ballot papers this September.
Civil servant John McDonough has announced he's running for a seat in the constituency next month.
The 49-year-old has 15 years' experience across various government departments, and a history in retail and hospitality - as well as a term on the board of Ramsey Town Commissioners.
Among his stated political ambitions are delegating more responsibility to local authorities, abolishing the tax cap and reforming the justice system.
