The work of an award winning artist from the Isle of Man is on display at the Empress Hotel in Douglas today (Saturday).
Karl Garrett’s exhibition comprises 19 paintings and four sculptures of varying scale, subject matter and media.
He’s a direct descendant of the Manx artist Frederick Gill, whose works can be found at the Manx Museum in Douglas.
Karl, from Peel, hasn't let dyslexia hold him back and recently won the the Norman Sayle Prize for Art (play audio file):
