ManxSPCA takes in various pets after festive season every year
If you're planning on getting someone a pet for Christmas, make sure it's right for them.
That's just one of the pieces of advice from the ManxSPCA, in the run-up to the festive season.
Every year after Christmas, the animal welfare charity ends up taking in various types of pets which people either can't look after or decide they don't want.
ManxSPCA General Manager Juana Warburton says people also need to realise the commitment they're making when they get one.
