Officers say despite all being 'young once too', party got out of hand
The Isle of Man Constabulary has issued an appeal to parents after they were alerted to a party of 'up to 50 young people' last night (Friday 19 December).
Police have raised concerns that there was no adult overseeing the event in Onchan, which saw a 'heavily intoxicated' 16-year-old left 'vomiting, placed into the recovery position and likely taken to hospital by his mum'.
In a statement on social media officers said: "We were all young once too and loved a get together with friends before Christmas, but when there are multiple bottles of beer, six litres of vodka, several bottles of spirits and much more, it becomes an issue."
They say they have taken 'all remaining property that was left behind' including bags containing school clothes, jackets and books and a laptop to Police Headquarters.
If anyone thinks their items were left behind, they are asked to collect them in company with a parent from 3pm today (Saturday 20 December).
Children 'will be spoken to by an officer about alcohol consumption and (in some cases) attitude'.
Officers also confirmed they will be contacting the person who made the booking, but say 'if it was you, feel free to contact the Community Team'.
