10 drivers avoiding tax after 1.5 hours of checks
Within an hour and a half of UK registration plate checks, police found 10 drivers taking to the wheel without valid UK tax and Manx registration.
Police took to social media in complaint after one driver was found to have been driving on Island without having taken a Manx vehicle test since arriving in 2015.
Officers say they didn't believe it was a problem here until today - when a three-day operation began to clamp down on any stray evaders.
They're targeting people driving or who have cars on Island without good reason.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Roads Policing Unit on 631212.
