53 year old man arrested
Police enquiries are continuing into the circumstances surrounding an altercation outside the Palace Hotel on Friday night, which led to the death of a 57 year old woman from the Merseyside area.
A 53 year old man, also from the Merseyside area has been arrested in connection with the woman's death.
The area, close the promenade entrance of the hotel has now re-opened and the Police cordon has been removed.
Investigating officer, Detective Superintendent Stephen Maddocks, is looking for information about a group of people with a small child who were walking between Jaks Bar on Loch Promenade and the Palace Hotel at around 9pm on Friday night:
