Tourism and Leisure Minister Martyn Quayle is defending the decision to stage a major orchestral concert at the Villa Marina during TT week.
A showcase by the London Metropolitan Orchestra, which marked the inaugural TTXGP, was heavily subsidised by the DTL, with money from the Isle of Man Arts Council.
Despite poor ticket sales, Mr Quayle says holding the concert was still a preferred option to a late cancellation:
