DOI says it's 'due to a combination of factors'
The practising of driving manoeuvres is no longer permitted within the grounds of the Vehicle Test Centre.
In a post on social media, the Department of Infrastructure confirmed the move comes 'due to a combination of factors'.
These include 'a significant increase in both staff and customer vehicles on-site, ongoing live tests across all categories, and scheduled vehicle examinations'.
It says the 'presence of driving practice taking place in both public and staff parking areas is disrupting daily operations and potentially poses a risk to safety'.
Practicing is therefore no longer allowed on the site during the hours of 9am - 5.30pm, Monday to Friday.
This applies to drivers under private and professional instruction.
Highway Services has thanked people for their 'understanding and cooperation'.
