Young man went on wrecking spree
A Douglas man who trashed a flat he was living in has been fined and put on probation.
At an earlier court appearance 20-year-old Kyle Collins of Fairfield Terrace, pleaded guilty to damaging property.
A radiator and extractor fan were ripped off a wall while white goods had been tipped over and damaged and crockery smashed.
The prosecution said it had cost the landlord £2,576 for replacements and repairs.
Taking into account the loss of an £850 deposit, Deputy High Bailiff Jayne Hughes sentenced Collins to 12 months probation and ruled her pay £2,000 in compensation, at £40 per month.
