Local authority says volunteers would assist with gardens and community spaces
Ramsey Commissioners is holding drop-in sessions for residents interested in taking on a volunteer role in the town.
There are two sessions taking place at the town hall, the first is on 31 October and the second on 21 November.
Both will run from between 10am until 12 noon.
Lead Member for Parks Margaret Webb says volunteers would assist with 'maintaining and monitoring' areas such as local gardens and other community areas.
The local authority says board members and the clerk will be there to answer questions, and they will have a register for people to join if they wish.
Mrs Webb added: "Having observed successful Volunteer schemes elsewhere and following suggestions by local members of the public, we are excited to launch this scheme.
"By utilising local community volunteers, who would assist in the maintaining and monitoring of areas such as local gardens and other community areas, some of which we are working with partners to improve.
"This supports our employed workforce to focus on those areas requiring greater upkeep and specialist attention, enhancing the great service they already provide.
"We really look forward to hearing from people to find out what they can bring in terms of experience, skills, knowledge and enthusiasm!”
