The Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority says thousands of people between Farmhill and Crosby are still without water this lunchtime (Monday).
A mains supplying the Braaid reservoir burst on the Snugborough trading estate, early this morning.
Engineers have been working to repair the damage, but in the meantime the authority has provided bowsers outside Ballacottier and Marown primary schools, and the former Crosby Wholesalers.
Ballacottier head teacher Carol Walsh says the lack of water hasn't caused too much disruption:
