
A union chief is expressing disappointment after some railway workers received letters saying they had been selected for potential redundancy.
In February, it emerged a number of railway posts would be lost with some staff relocated into other government jobs, as the Leisure Division tried to make savings.
Unite regional industrial officer Steve Salter says the letters have come as a blow, as talks with leisure bosses to minimise redundancies seemed to be progressing well (play audio file):
