
Is the Isle of Man making enough savings?
In the light of the re-arrangement of the VAT agreement with the UK the Island has lost long tens of millions of pounds flowing in to its exchequer.
While departmental budgets have been cut back, concern has been expressed that there doesn't appear to have been much evidence of genuine cutbacks.
Minister for Economic Development Allan Bell says he understands why people think that, but he believes the Island is still on target to rebalance overall government expenditure
