
Police in the Isle of Man say they will continue planning operations on significant dates to discourage disorder.
That’s the message after high-profile policing resulted in seven people being arrested at the weekend.
Officers feared the last day of school, payday weekend and sunny weather could have meant drunken trouble on the streets of Douglas, and launched Operation Cartography to tackle potential problems.
Inspector Ken Kneale says it’s a strategy which worked well and will continue to be employed:
