Department's carrying out joint assessment
Government departments are formulating a new strategy to combat sexual offending in the Island.
Questions were raised over the adequacy of the response in the House of Keys yesterday, as politicians in the UK debate how to tackle the growing problem.
The Chief Constable's Annual Report this year revealed a rise in the reporting of current and historic sexual abuse.
But Home Affairs member Alex Allinson MHK said there were still 'gaps' in policing and helping the victims.
