Power 'in your hands' says DEC
The Island's 16 to 18-year-olds have more power than they might think, according a new information booklet being circulated to schools ahead of September's General Election.
It urges teenagers to join the electoral register and vote, in order to shape the issues that affect them daily.
Joel Smith from the Department of Education and Children, which authored the publication, said more young people should use their voice:
