
A skin cancer expert warns that people in the Isle of Man need to learn how to use the sun safely.
Professor Richard Marais specialises in Melanoma at the Institute of Cancer Research.
He has been on the Island to receive a donation towards the study of the disease from the Isle of Man Anti Cancer Association.
Professor Marais says people assume that because the climate here is less tropical than abroad, it is safer.
However he stresses that this ignorant attitude is leading to more people than ever developing skin cancer at a younger age:
