Infrastructure Minister David Cretney will ask Tynwald to spend £3 million on a new baggage handling system at Ronaldsway Airport later.
This month’s sitting of the court will also see ministers request £400,000 to spend on an electrical sub-station for the Manx Electric Railway and fencing at Peel’s new Food Yard.
And there’s a call for Manx firms who take on apprentices to be given preference when it comes to government tenders.
Today’s sitting has 16 questions for oral answer and 15 for written answer.
Many of the questions concentrate on cutbacks in government spending after recent announcements the mobile library and family library will close and preschool provision will be privatised.
Kirk Michael MHK Alf Cannan will keep up the pressure over the land-swap deal at Kirk Michael School between the government and Heritage Homes, asking Education Minister Peter Karran whether it’s now invalid after planning permission for homes was refused.
