Covid-19 has prevented exams taking place for the past two years
Students are gearing up for their examinations and with the Coronavirus pandemic preventing traditional exams taking place for the past two years, this will be the first time some have sat an exam which has carried significant importance.
UCM have developed so-called 'calm areas' designed to allow students taking large written exams such as Business, IT, Maths and English a space to clear their minds, de-stress and mentally prepare for what's to come.
The areas include the likes of relaxed seating, calming music, refreshments and mindfulness classes.
So what's the feeling like among the students at UCM as they approach what will essentially decide the next portion of their futures?
Heather Bone is the President of the Student Council:
The student welfare and support team are on-hand to deal with anxiety and extreme stress that may arise as a result of exam pressure alongside students access to one-to-one meetings with their tutors.
