
The Department of Education and Children is to raise the bar for students hoping to receive funding from the government for further education.
The revision process takes place every year but this year comes amidst severe government cutbacks and student riots in the UK over the charging process being levied by the UK government.
Minister Eddie Teare says it's not a cutback per se - as they're trying to support those who will get the most out of higher education - but students will need higher grades to ensure funding.
