The pair have reached out to Manx community for advice
A woman contemplating a move to the Isle of Man says it 'opens people's eyes to the possibility of what could be'.
Alex Esarey reached out to the Manx community on Facebook this week for advice following recent developments in the states.
She told Manx Radio the impacts of Hurricane Helene and the outcome of the US election have been a 'one-two punch' and she and her husband are 'exhausted physically and emotionally devastated'.
The pair live in Asheville, North Carolina, which has heavily impacted by the hurricane as it moved through - Alex's home is still without running water weeks later.
Alex says they visited the Island back in April after discussing a possible move for a couple of years.
