John Morris claims his benefits are limited because of his age
The treasury minister says there are various avenues available to an amputee who's been told he doesn't qualify for a disability benefit.
Earlier today, Manx Radio reported on John Morris, who after turning 65, had his right leg amputated.
Due to his age, current legislation prevents people over 65 from accessing disability support, meaning he only receives attendance allowance.
But the minister, Alex Allinson, says there are options available through the adult social services team:

Three-month wait for state pension forecast statements
No timeline yet for reinstatement of rehab service to north
Venezuela Fury & Noah Price wedding "a true showcase of the breadth and quality of Manx services"
Manx Care TT ready despite 'exceptional' pressures faced last week
Manx Telecom merger not scrutinised by Manx Government
