An inquest into the death of motorcyclist Kevin Moore has returned a verdict of accidental death.
Mr Moore died after the bike he was riding hit the back of a near stationary vehicle on the Mountain Mile in May.
A car, driven by duty police inspector Cathryn Bradley, had stopped in order for her to answer a work-related phone call. A car behind her had slowed to a near stop and it was this second car that Mr Moore crashed into after coming around a corner at between 80 to 100 miles per hour.
Coroner of Inquests, John Needham, said Mr Moore died from multiple injuries received in the crash and repeated calls he has made previously for a national speed limit.
However, he added, it was not speed but a lack of forward observation that caused the accident.
