Weather forces cruise ship to leave early
It was the visit that never was for passengers on the cruise ship Adonia today.
The P and O liner arrived in Douglas Bay this morning and was scheduled to spend the day in Manx waters as her passengers explored the Island.
However, a poor forecast for the day meant that whilst the vessel's tenders could bring her 800 passengers ashore, they may not have been able to return them to the ship and so the decision was taken to leave Manx waters before midday.
The Adonia is now heading to St Mary's in the Scilly Isles and hopefully some more summery weather.
