ManxSPCA warns of serious effects
A series of incidents has prompted a warning about dogs being left in hot cars.
Police issued the reminder after three separate callouts in the north of the Island on Sunday, when temperatures soared above 23 degrees.
The effects of direct sunlight in a locked car can be seriously detrimental to dogs - even leading to death in some cases.
Owners can also face criminal charges for wilfully neglecting their pets.
