A call is being made for woodwind, brass and percussion players in the Island.
The Isle of Man Wind Orchestra is holding a rehearsal on Sunday afternoon to prepare for a weekend workshop in the new year. It will be led by one of the United Kingdom's leading young conductors, Mark Heron.
His visit will culminate in a concert of music described as challenging, accessible and, above all, fun.
Sunday’s rehearsal will take place from 2pm at the Onchan Silver Band Room, behind the commissioners' offices.
Orchestra Chairman Joanna Drysdale hopes the orchestra will be joined by other woodwind, brass, percussion and string bass players:
