Departmental pay for MHKs should be removed, according to one of the candidates in Rushen for the general election in September.
Laurence Skelly, a wholesale business owner and event manager, lived in California until he returned to the Isle of Man twelve years ago.
He would like to see MHK's receive a flat salary, with no additional pay for departmental work:
