The home of Tommy Cooper hosted the finish of the fourth stage of the Tour of Britain today but it wasn't "just like that" for Cav.
After 182 km of steep climbs and descents through the Brecon Beacons National Park it all came down to a sprint finish into the town.
Norway's Thor Hushovd was first across the line, race leader Lars Boom second and Cesare Benedetti third.
Cav however, was dropped by the leaders on the final climb of the day, the so-called "Col de Caerphilly", just under 5 km from the finish.
Lars Boom leads the overall ranking, Geraint Thomas of Sky ProCycling and Boy Van Poppel of the UnitedHealthcare team third.
Boom also tops the points race, Geraint Thomas again holds third and Mark Cavendish is third.
Tomorrow it's all about Devon as the tour passes through Dartmoor, en route from Exeter to Exmouth.
