Gill Christian takes up role
FC IOM has itself a new chairperson.
Former national team captain Gill Christian has taken up the role, following Gary Weightman's resignation last week.
As a player, Gill captained the Isle of Man national team for over twelve years, playing in six Island Games tournaments and winning a silver and bronze medal in the process.
Off the pitch, Christian held a long-term role as Honorary Legal Advisor to the Island Games Association and to the Isle of Man Commonwealth Games Association.
She says "I love my football and have always taken a close interest in the local game and FC Isle of Man intrigued me from the beginning, so it didn't take long for me to accept the opportunity to join an already excellent team of people."
