
Ravens searching for first win of new season this weekend against Glossop North End
After a draw and a defeat in their opening two matches of the season, FC Isle of Man return to The Bowl tomorrow (9 August) searching for their first win of the latest NWCFL Premier Division campaign.
'The Ravens' host Glossop North End this evening with the visitors also on the hunt for a first victory of 25/26.
The Manx side have had a slightly longer wait between games with their last outing - a 2-0 loss at FC St Helens - coming ten days ago.
With some significant squad changes over the summer, FC Isle of Man Manager, Paul Jones believes they need to be patient with the team to unlock its true potential going forward:
The Head-to-Head record so far between FC Isle of Man and Glossop North End is currently slightly in favour of Jones' side.
FC Isle of Man have won three of their four meetings with the Derbyshire outfit so far.
However, it was Glossop North End who came out on top the last time the two met at The Bowl with a Lewis Reilly double helping 'The Hillmen' to a 2-0 victory in January this year.
Like FC Isle of Man, Richard Brodie's team have also registered a draw and a loss in their opening pair of league fixtures.
A 2-2 draw with City of Liverpool on the opening day of the campaign on 26 July was followed by a close-fought 2-1 defeat at home to West Didsbury & Chorlton three days later (29 July).
Since then, Glossop North End's last two games have been in the FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round - a 1-1 draw at home to FC St Helens last Saturday (2 August) was followed by a 3-1 loss to the same side in the replay of the tie on Tuesday (5 August).

That sees Sam Corkill called up in place of Adam Kerruish.
