Ravens head to play-off rivals on three-match winless run

FC Isle of Man face a tough task to turn around their recent winless streak when they head to high-flying Lower Breck in the NCWFL Premier Division on Saturday (21 December).

Without victory in their last three, 'The Ravens' take on their fellow play-off contenders who sit six points above them.

Four of the Island side's next five contests sees them face teams which, like themselves, are currently in the hunt for a shot at promotion.

Whilst recognising the importance of the next few weeks, FC Isle of Man Manager Paul Jones says he's more focused on making sure performance levels are up to scratch:

Both teams head into this weekend's clash on Merseyside having played 27 times in the league so far.

FC Isle of Man sit fifth in the table on 46 points with Lower Breck just above in fourth on 52.

The Island outfit will be aware that other sides are snapping at their heels for that last promotion play-off spot currently.

Padiham are just two points further back in sixth and have played three games fewer so far whilst FC St Helens - who FC Isle of Man face next week (28 December) - are only three points behind them and with one game in hand.

On current head-to-head records, FC Isle of Man have the slightly better record against Lower Breck.

Whilst the Liverpool-based side won the first encounter between the teams in July 2022, FC Isle of Man have taken maximum points in three meetings since then with the two having played out one draw so far back in November 2023.

Lower Breck vs FC Isle of Man takes place on Saturday, 21 December, at Anfield Sports Community Centre with kick-off scheduled for 1.30pm
