Jonathan Rea came fourth and ninth in the latest round of the Superbike World Championship at Silverstone at the weekend.
Tweeting this morning, the Castletown resident said, "Not the weekend we hoped for but happy that Silverstone is done.
"Thanks for all the messages of support, it really helps to stay motivated!"
Rea currently lies fifth in the championship standings.
