Herbertson signs for Burrows Engineering by RK Racing

He'll compete for outfit at TT 2024 and this year's Southern 100

The Burrows Engineering by RK Racing team has announced Dominic Herbertson as their new rider for 2024.

The outfit says Herberston will compete for them at this year's TT on their BMW M1000RR machine in the Superbike, Superstock and Senior classes and their Yamaha YZF-R6 in the Supersport category.

It's also planned they'll contest the two Supertwin races.

Furthermore, there are plans for he and the team to be involved in the North West 200, Southern 100 Road Races and 'selected Irish National Road Races' during the next twelve months.

Herbertson replaces Mike Browne who parted ways with the team in September 2023.

The 32-year-old made his TT debut in 2014 and since then has gone on to record ten top-ten finishes and in 2023 managed to lap at over 130mph for the first time.

He also set a new personal best in the Supersport class last year surpassing 125mph lap speed, also for the first time.

Speaking about the move, the rider says the team has 'competitive machinery' as well as 'a perfect balance of professionalism and enjoyment both on and off the track.'

Meanwhile, the team itself says the decision to bring on an experienced competitor like Herbertson 'marks a move away from the team's position of fielding riders in the earlier stages of their road racing careers.'

As well as his road-racing commitments, the competitor from Hexham will also contest the opening British Supersport Championship round in April.
