Report by Ben Cunningham:

Under their new manager Neil Crowe the Isle of Man Men's Senior team play their first round match of the England Hockey KO championship at home this weekend at the NSC at 1pm playing Timperley 2s.

If you're looking for some entertainment this match will have it all and it will be a great example of how good Manx hockey is and I’m sure Neil will be wanting to get off to a winning start in his new role for the Island set up.

In the Mixed Premier league, Valkyrs A vs Vikings A has been moved to the 31 October at the NSC, as well as Castletown Celts vs Bacchas A has been moved to the 1 November both pushing back at 8.30pm, this is due to players playing in the IOM Mens Senior team.

However this Saturday Vikings B play Harlequins A in a match both teams will want to take all the points from to help them avoid being in the relegation battle. Elsewhere up north Ramsey A who are still needing to get points this season meet Bacchas B who drew with Harlequins A last time out but if Ramsey don’t get anything out of this game this weekend it could be a long road ahead of them for the remainder of the season.

In Mixed Division One, Valkyrs B who currently sit in second in the league meet bottom of the league Castletown Cammags who are still yet to get some points however Valkyrs B will want to keep their good form up. League leaders Castletown Southerners who only just got past Vikings C last week this weekend play Valkyrs C who come into this game following a good win over Cammags last time out. Finally Bacchas C play Vikings C in a battle of the C teams with both teams coming into this game on the same form.

In Mixed Division Two, leaders Vikings D who are looking unstoppable and scoring plenty of goals meet Castletown Cushags who got the better of Valkyrs D last week in a close match. Bacchas Colts who just got the better of Vikings E last time out play Valkyrs D this weekend who will be hoping they can get back to winning ways after two narrow losses. Finally Ramsey Ravens who lost out to Vikings D last weekend play bottom of the league Vikings E who are still looking to get some points but if they fail to this weekend the rest of the season for them could be a tough one.

In Mixed Division Three, Castletown Carrick play Bacchas D in what looks set to be a close match. Harlequins C head up north to play Ramsey rookies with both teams coming into this game on the same form. Finally Harlequins B head south to play Castletown Cosney with Harlequins B hoping they can keep their undefeated record in the league still going.

No U15’s league matches for the next two weeks, as this league takes a break over the half term period - matches resume on the 4 November.
