Gracie Barra shines in Paris and Liverpool
A Manx jiu-jitsu club has secured three more medals whilst competing in the UK and Europe in the last week.
Gracie Barra Isle of Man fielded five competitors across the European IBJJF Jiu-Jitsu Championship in Paris, France and the Grappling Industries competition in Liverpool last week.
The French event saw Gracie Barra's Hayley Curtis, Colin Everden and Lukasz Borciuch in action with the standout success coming from Borciuch who secured a bronze medal.
Elsewhere, fellow club members Nick Baker and Phil Cowgill were involved in the Merseyside competition with both going on to enjoy medal success.
Baker - a newcomer - took two wins during the round-robin tournament to claim silver in his class whilst Cowgill matched that in his division, taking two victories and silver.
In the last twelve months, Gracie Barra have now racked up over 130 medals at both junior and senior competitions in the UK, Europe and further afield.
