Vagabonds were narrowly defeated at Glencrutchery Road when they went down 20-17 against league leaders Wilmslow.
A Leigh Kennaugh try and Jonny Beckley penalty kept Vagas in the game in the first half as they battled with the visitors and the wind.
However, two Wilmslow tries in the last minute of the first half gave Vagas a mountain to the climb as they trailed 20-7 at the interval.
With the wind behind them Vagas cut loose in the second half and tries from Ean Mousely and Rudi Neuhoff brought them right back into the game but, despite good field position, Beckley was unable to add the conversions and Vagas were beaten by the final whistle.
