Marcus Simpson signs with WH Racing

Manxman says there's more to come

Rising Manx star Marcus Simpson has signed a two-year deal with WH Racing powered by Dinobike.

After being missing from the 2024 TT grid WH has made an ambitious return by taking on last year's debutant.

Simpson's impressive second place finish at the 2023 Manx Grand Prix senior race earned him a move to the TT where he contested in all classes.

Although it was a challenging two weeks for the Douglas rider the 26-year-old managed 12th in the Superbike TT race where he also lapped 125.918mph - his personal best for the event.

Simpson said: "I definitely learnt a lot last year in terms of what to do and what not to do both on track and off track and it tested me for sure.

"But I’m more experienced now and this two-year deal means there’s no pressure on me so I can go out and enjoy myself and if I do that the results will take care of themselves.

"I know there’s plenty more to come."

The Manxman will ride a Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade-SP in the Superbike, Senior and Superstock TT races for the Newcastle-based team.

He added: “I know the Fireblade inside out and I think I’ll be in a better position if I just concentrate on what I know, giving me plenty of track time to build on the last two years”.

WH Racing Co-owner Stephen Watson added the team are delighted to have Marcus Simpson on board and hope to bring him to the next stage of his racing career.
