Rugby: Patreece Bell makes senior debut for Sale Sharks

Former Island player helps squad to victory against Newcastle Falcons

Former Isle of Man rugby player Patreece Bell has made his senior debut for Sale Sharks.

Patreece Bell made his maiden appearance for the club as he was named in the starting XV for Sale Sharks' 19-17 victory over Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, 16 February.

Bell - whose former clubs include Southern Nomads and Castle Rushen High School - was one of four debutants in the squad last weekend along with Ollie Davies, Dom Hanson and Alfie Longstaff.

Also included in the same squad was fellow former Manx resident and 2023 Isle of Man Sportsman of the Year, Bevan Rodd.

During 2024, Bell was gaining match experience for Sedgeley Park Tigers in National One in the third tier of English rugby at club level.

He was also selected in the Ireland squad for last year's Under-20 Six Nations tournament, helping the national side to a second-placed finish and just one point behind table-toppers England.
