Snooker: IoM squads go far in Home Internationals events

Masters only beaten in final of cup in Leeds

The Isle of Man men's and masters teams came close to silverware at the 2025 Home Internationals in Leeds in the last week.

Following opening matches over last weekend both team's dropped into the respective men's and master's cup competitions.

The masters squad made it all the way to their cup final only to lose out to Wales B by a 7-2 scoreline.

Elsewhere, the men's squad reached the last-four stage of the men's cup before being beaten in a sudden death decider, 5-4 against the Republic of Ireland.

The Isle of Man's campaign isn't done yet, the billiards squad will be in action there tomorrow and Friday (7-8 August).

Chair of Isle of Man Billiards & Snooker Association, Darryl Hill says the masters became the first Manx team in any discipline make a cup final at the meeting.

He adds the etiquette of all their players has been 'exemplary' and they've 'done the association and themselves proud.'
