Blades found by staff during collection rounds
Douglas Council is asking residents to avoid putting knives in kerbside recycling boxes.
It says staff found the items on their collection rounds today which is putting employees in danger (3 December).
The local authority also says members of the public could be at risk when this happens.
Knives and sharp items should be taken to the civic amenity site and put in the metal skip.
